Etude House 3 Minutes Care In Morning Mask – Review

I would like to give you a quick review of Etude House sheet masks.

You only have to keep this mask on your face for 1-3 minutes. And that is it.

This is what makes this mask so attractive to many busy people (and let’s face it – lazy people too; I am one of them lol).

This mask fits perfect for morning skin care routine, when your skin feels dry or tired (or maybe you had a late night and did not have enough sleep). In any event, when your skin needs that extra moisture and nutrition but you do not have extra 15-20 minutes (and who does?) in the morning to do a proper sheet mask – this Etude House 3 minute care is just what you need.

I often wash my face, tone it, place this mask, apply deodorant, go and get dressed – and it is time to remove the mask off. Just perfect.

It is sort of “fast food” skin care.

What does Etude House 3 Minute Mask Promise?

I really appreciate when a company does not lie and does not promise to consumers some unrealistic results.

Let’s face it: you cannot expect miracles from a mask, that stays on your face for 3 minutes.

Etude House promises 3 basic things:

1. This mask will energize, tone, brighten and somewhat moisturize tired, sluggish skin;
2. It provides a visible hydration kick;
3. It will be easier for your to apply makeup (if your skin is dry and tired, your pores will be more visible, so you will either have to put up with it, or use skin primer. If your skin received a moisture boost, it will look brighter and hydrated enough for makeup application).

To be honest, I do not really think that anybody can expect anything more from a 3 minute product.

Main Ingredients of Etude House 3 Minute Mask

People with allergies and people with sensitive skin could be very happy: there is only 1 active plant extract – pumpkin.

Pumpkin extract is actually amazing for your skin. I did a review about another mask that I loved, loved, loved Mediheal Pumpkin Vita Mask.

• Allantoin – very effective moisturizing ingredient. It is also very gentle and suitable for sensitive skin. It increases skin smoothness as well.
• Hyaluronic acid – very famous moisturizing ingredient.
• Pumpkin extract – refreshes, nourishes and rejuvenates skin.

Despite many good ingredients, I would like to mention that the line of ingredients is not the best (in my opinion). I notice Alcohol in line and it kind of unclear what type of alcohol it is (if you are not aware about bad and good alcohols in skin care, please, read my detailed blog post about it. This post will also help to to determine, how much alcohol each skin care product contain).

However, to be fair, I never read a single review where an consumer mentioned that this mask either dried or irritated her/his skin.

What Skin Type This Mask is Suitable For?

This mask is suitable for any skin type. It is because of the minimum amount of extracts.

How To Use The Mask

Unfortunately I did not make a picture of me taking a sheet mask out of the box. However, you can find pictures all over the interenet.

The package reminds me of a baby wipers package: you just take a mask out of a box the same way you would take baby wipes.

Steps to using the mask:

1. Wash your face
2. Apply your favourite toner
3. Remove mask from a package and apply to your face
4. Wait 3 minutes and remove the sheet off your face
5. Do not wash off the essence, pat it into your skin, let dry and follow with moisturizer.
6. That is it

My Impression of Etude House 3 Minute Mask

First of all: I love the package. I like that there is no extra plastic involved (I am TRYING to be cautious and reduce my waste).

Second: I love the ratio of quantity to quality. This box contains 30 sheets and did not cost much. The price per mask was very affordable and reasonable.

I was surprised how well box seal worked. I think I had this box for almost 3 months, and all these time masks stayed very well soaked in essence and did not dry.

Mask is soaked in essence, so do not be surprised when in 3 minutes you don’t even remotely notice that your mask starts drying. It was so hard to remove a mask that had so much product on it.

Sheet itself is made out of simple cotton (I think), there is nothing extraordinary about it.

Mask has very faint floral fragrant (I guess it is from pumpkin extract), however it is not annoying and did not bother me.

I recommend this mask for people who are often in a hurry in the morning (meaning, to almost everyone lol).

This mask will not substitute your skin care routine and will not replace good sheet mask. However, if you feel like your skin needs extra boost, extra hydration and a kick in a butt, then this mask is a very good solution. I used it the whole winter, when my skin felt super dry because of furnaces.

It is also a very affordable addition to your skin care routine.
