Neogen Dermatology is a Korean premium brand that produced many products. The company has been around since 1982 and now has multiple offices all over the world.
The company has its own high-tech laboratory where employees constantly check all the ingredients used in company’s beauty products.
Company treats all ingredients very seriously, everything is evaluated including soil where plants grow, mineral composition, date and methods of collection. All this allows company to create not only truly effective, but also extremely safe cosmetics. In most cases company’s products do not allergies and are suitable for all skin types.
I’ve read many positive reviews about Neogen skincare, so I finally gave in and decided to try it.

The first product that I tried and would like to publish a review for is Hypoallergenic Cleansing Green Tea Stick.
If you glanced through my blog, you would notice that I strongly stand by double-cleansing method. During this method you remove all dirt, impurities and other products residue with cleansing oil first. Then you would finish your cleansing with non-foam water-based cleanser. This method of cleansing allows to clean your skin thoroughly without destroying protective lipid skin barrier. This method also moisturizes and does not destroy pH balance of your skin. That is why I was a bit reluctant of trying Neogen Green Tea Cleanser stick. I’ve been enjoying how double-cleansing method transformed my skin so much, I was kind of scared to try something else. After all, this product does not offer anything “double”, it is jus t one strange stick. However, here we go, my first ever Neogen cleanser.
Neogen Green Tea Cleanser Stick Review
The innovative cleansing stick consists of 99% natural ingredients, including green tea particles, camellia oil, evening primrose, olive and other valuable ingredients that provide gentle skin care. Main Ingredients of Neogen Green Tea Cleanser
The major ingredient in this cleanser is Green Tea Leaves.
Green tea leaves – It contains vitamins of all groups, 17 amino acids, minerals and organic acids. Green tea soothes the he skin and helps to treat acne. I go into many details why green tea is so useful for our skin in this blog post. You can also make your own masks, toners and creams containing green tea.
Green tea seed oil – moisturizes and nourishes the skin.
Olive oil – creates protective skin barrier on the surface. That prevents moisture from escaping your skin.
Chamomile oil – contains omega fatty acids (A, B, E), which support the skin’s moisture balance.
Sunflower oil – promotes skin flexibility and elasticity.Coconut oil – soothes and moisturizes the skin.
Primrose oil – brightens the skin, strengthens the capillaries, removes peeling and deeply moisturizes.
Camellia extract – enhances the protective functions of the skin leaving it moisturized and hydrated, fights dark circles under the eyes and stimulates collagen production.
How to use cleansing stick
- Open the lid, unscrew the stick to 1 cm.
- Wet your face with warm water.
- Apply product in circular motions on pre-moistened face skin
- Add more water to form a foam, wash your face with gentle strokes and then rinse well.
Impression
Stick looks very solid, however, once it touches wet skin, it literally melts on the skin. It glides smoothly and softly, no mechanical irritation.
The product has herb-like smell that is very pleasant.
You will notice pieces of real tea leaves throughout the stick. Green tea contains a large amount of antioxidants that can prevent skin aging making it withstand environmental pollution like smog and dirt. Green tea leaves also serve as a gentle exfoliating agent.
It cleanses skin well leaving it smooth and soft. I have combination skin, so I am really worried about cleansing products with high pH that strip off natural oil from my skin.
I have not noticed any unpleasant drying effect after using this unique cleanser. My skin did not feel tight right after and I did not notice any excessive skin oil production after (as you know, our oil glands produces skin oil to keep skin moisturized).
Cleanser is super convenient to use, I can through it in my purse and it is available any time I need without creating any mess.
I am planning to go on a trip soon where I cannot bring too much stuff. I was kind of worried how I am going to cleanse my skin. I don’t really have a luxury of carrying both oil based and water based cleanser.
Well, it seems like all my worries have been resolved and I found exactly what I needed.
Definitely recommend this products for anyone even for a home use.
